@cannarali There's hardly ever any "need" for anything, and the thing that displays the least need is drama.
If he loves them all and treats them right, and they love him (loving each other would be a plus), and he's not lying to anyone, I see this as an absolute win.

Much better than having a third person which will inevitably lead to someone ending with a broken heart because "it couldn't be helped".

Yup. And there was no fights for succession, civil wars, or any kind of assassinations and infighting. Everything toootally worked out and they all lived happily ever after. /s

Obviously, harems and polygamy/polyamory can and do work but pretending they all work or didn't "work" at the sacrifice of rights of their partners (normally women, though I'm sure their are a few examples of men too) kind of sets things back for people genuinely wishing for those kind of relationships.

A relationship is hard work. Having multiple relationships is even greater work.

These manga don't care about all that and only care about selling a fantasy. That's it. Enjoy it. Love it but they aren't realistic. That's okay but you shouldn't be surprised when people say it.

Just how much scrap metal can that town of an old era possibly have? People wouldn't even throw away old nails, they would keep them and reuse them. He made scrap metal merchants public servants... For what reason? Unsurprisingly they might not have made big bucks, but what will they do as public servants? Sit on their asses while enjoying their montly salaries? Is the author a communist or something? This whole "let's bring modern waste management into a medieval city" thing is about as ridiculous as you can get.

I'm with Nessen on this one, this started off ok but it's veering straight into retard fantasy land where you just fix everything by the wave of a hand.

Also what bothers me maybe most of all is, why is one of his vaunted top 5 public official winners of the talent tournament etc working in a fucken pub? And how did she magically know his name is Kazuya when we established not 2 minutes ago that everybody thinks his name is Souma?

Monogamy = Have only 1 wife.
Monoandry = Have only 1 husband.

Also having 8 wives sounds nice and all, but have you ever think about how much stamina you need to satisfy the wives? You'd need to bang every single day. You need to give attentions and affections to all 8 wives. Not to mention various problems like jealousy and conflicts between wives. Sounds frustrating to me tbh.
