And Vino will probably be the one who tells Natori about this change.
I think she's growing more and more fond of Natori not only because of gay reasons but because she (admittedly) resembles that little girl we saw in the flashback (Lapis' little sister? Blood-related or not), who was a commoner. Maybe a lot of her "evil" side is related to whatever happened to that girl, something probably atrocious in the eyes of an infant, that planted that seed and wish to kill all commoners daring to go against the status quo (the rebellion). However, now that there is someone to fit that role of a treasured person, and specially because Natori is a commoner, Lapis' change of heart is bound to be related to the feelings she's experiencing.
In-game, no one was there to fill that space of someone that makes her think "maybe classicide is not ok". Diana is a kind-hearted girl and surely thinks highly of her, but Lapis friendship with her was merely a facade from the latter's part — she saw the girl as a tool in the OG story and continues to do so. Now there is Natori.
I do wish to see if Natori's presence also changes how current Lapis sees Diana and Gran-kun (who's obviously against the "kill all commoners" mindset and maybe villainess Lapis already holds some grudge to this side of him). I don't want Heroine x Villainess love rivalry tho. Dazzling knight Diana being besties with Lady Lapis, a trusted advisor and true friend, probably swooning all the ladies and the fellas, once she probably realizes Natori x Lapis is mutual (even if neither know yet), is really something I want to see for this precious child. Gran can get reck'd, he already lost Diana lmfao
I'd go for poly ending with the trio since no one ever seemed to try it before, but let's be realistic... ain't gonna happen, almost no publisher would have the balls for it, even if the author tried their best to push it. Makes me sad.
Base on your description of why you don't like this series, i'm guessing you like light Yuri romance drama? with simple love story that don't involve heavy political points into the story?, If my guess is right then the story in this manga might not be cup of your tea since they involve politics that also has an actual real villain in it (not the usual "villainess" that other Yuri manga has), and this series is considered as "Seinen" according to any ani-manga website.Somehow both of our Female Leads are so unlikeable and I don't know why. Is it Lapis's hairdo which I find hilariously overdone? Is it her bloodthirsty tendencies that are suddenly not fun when it's true villainess behavior and not just bouts of petty jealousy over some guy? Is it Natalie being a spineless pushover? Is it wacky harem shenanigans that contrast the impending genocide in the worst possible way?
Look, I don't want to shit on the story, but it's all over the place, and the heroines are so meh I really am starting to ship Diana and the Prince. They at least feel less one-dimensional, and they have real chemistry, and I-
I feel so unbelievably guilty for not enjoying this stuff for the rare isekai-yuri content, so I'm always double-guessing myself. Am I being too picky? Have I not given this manga enough time to shine? Am I projecting?
He read it, his face in the below panel of that page shows he clearly saw and was in shock.Wait
If Vino can read Natori's mind, did he not read her mind when Natori gave a brief introduction narration of him?
Or was it a non diegetic inner monologue...
Not at all. I don't dislike it because "boohoo, this politicking is too difficult to understand, gimme my kissing girls right nowww" or anything. Man, I actually don't find pure yuri fluff that interesting in the first place, so I usually welcome it when the romance is happening somewhere on the sidelines if the main story is well-written (Fatal Twelve VN is amazing in that regard, for instance)i'm guessing you like light Yuri romance drama? with simple love story that don't involve heavy political points into the story
Ah, sorry my bad I misunderstood what you were saying. I can see your point now.Not at all. I just don't feel like this manga blends its funky yuri/harem romance and its larger narrative that well. And the main characters don't resonate with me one bit.
Please count the number of love interests Natori has. Lapis and Diana. That's two, as in 2. Which makes it a love triangle, not a harem. (In case this needs to be made clear: Vino and Gran are not Natori's love interests.)Somehow both of our Female Leads are so unlikeable and I don't know why.
