So i caught up with the current translation of the light novel and first of all the girl in the cover

she might have a similar char design like lark but she isnt lark also there is a 4 year timeskip later onwards which is quite nice because the story felt a little slow but it was nice i give the web novel for now a solid 8/10 because it wasnt boring though i am pretty disappointed that he couldnt still meet lark, YES the only time he was with lark was beginning of manga and she saved his ass when he fell unconsciouse and then she vanished so only 2 occurences which were like 1 ch long which is probably really short since there are around 81ish chapters in the light novel i hope he does meet lark though

You’re confusing “number of chapters” with “chapter number”. Count them and there are 42 here (although there are three unnumbered prologue and epilogue chapters and one unnumbered bonus story so goodness knows how other sites have handled them)

The numbering on volume 5 is incorrect. The bunkobon of v5 has the last chapter as (how shit scans titled) "True Malice is Only Found in Those You Care for - 2", before ending with extra story "Overlimit Academy". Also, there is no volume 6, yet, and no other manga on this site labels chapters that aren't in bunkos or tankos as what they might be published in the future.

I got tired of the mc after the second arc, the relationships with other characters get almost reset by arc, love interests abandoned for no other reason than "its too dangerous with me", I feel almost offended.
