@Ovnidemon @throwthedice ive been reading the novels, but this isnt a spoiler, its my personal theory.... notice how she always notes that even the "mob npcs" have names etc...? i have a feeling this isnt a game, but rather a real world that the "game developers" manipulated and that players are using an avatar that through magic is creating an undying body essentially. this would explain a lot of things actually... as for certain NPCs previously being unkillable in the "beta" its possible the avatars had restrictions on who and what they could actually attack....


this wouldnt be the first novel or manga with a plot like this, ive read a few and they can be interesting if done right..
. just a theory though

@Kaizeel It was the manga artist, not the author, which was a novel author in this case. Also, they've found someone else to either continue this or probably reboot it like several other light novel adaptations have done when the artist adapting them had to stop for whatever reason. As for sources, I read that in the main comment section for the series on here, think people linked stuff there pretty recently. I don't remember having to dig through the entire comment section, I barely scrolled down at all.

I also didn't dig into it terribly deeply either so, grain of salt, could be the information over there right now is off somehow or other for all I know.
