I have been wanting him to admit he likes her (and vice versa) for so long, and somehow the chapter when they finally do so, it simply doesn't feel satisfying :/
There's everything from using a brittle fragile shell as the rings jewel (and it is overall shaped really inconveniently so it will easily hit or snag on stuff) making it inept as a wedding or engagement ring, to proposing to her out of the blue at a public setting without even talking about having a relationship at all first, to choosing a low-brow place for it, to leaving her sad she ruined the jewel without consoling her for as long as it took to get that ring made, to etc.
Wish they could have simply done it normally and bedded each other in some drunken passion or sober night-crawl, kissing and bedding. Hell, even just confessing or kissing in the heat of the moment while they did normal their shenanigans would have been better :/ (there were plenty scenes before where they flirted that could naturally have flowed into her confessing in response, or asking if he is serious with his flirting Or either could have stolen a peck or kiss).
Or I dunno. I just didn't like this execution.
