Because this isn't really a story manga, and it never has been. The male characters were always just POV cameras to look at the big breasted girls doing cute/sexy things. This literally started as a single panel twitter gag comic to send office men off to work on Monday.

I’m sorry you can’t say that, that is not true at all. We’ve had multiple storylines about the idol industry, shrine maidens, office work and its grueling nature , and dozens, and dozens of chapters dedicated with conversations about romance and feelings.

All with a faceless protagonist. I literally didn’t realize it was a separate person until chapter 50 or so. I thought all the guys were the same because they have so little personality and they have literally no face

Becuase it's a fetish manga and this new character proves it. How many mangas about a "plain" girl secondary lewd pictures account are there? I can think at least three and I'm not even a fan of those.

Just the other day I was reading again the IsekAI doujin and, thinking of the latest Ai chan chapters, I felt like it was the author's way to say goodbye to the couple.

Anyway, the new couple seems interesting, and I like that a lot of focus is given to the boy.

.... I think you might be confused. Just because they don't have faces doesn't mean they're not characters. While yes it might be cool if they had faces, "no face" doesn't mean "no character". Especially not in this chapter where we get his goals, wants, and personality. We literally get to see what he thinks throughout the entire chapter. If this was one of the dudes where the girl has to talk for him (see extremely early chapters) you would have a point. But this was not the chapter to make this point on.
