Holy shit that is a deep cut. I still remember how they took down their follow-up game Devotion because a single texture in the game had the words “Xi Jinping Winnie the Pooh” on it. And then it was taken down from Steam, mass reviewbombed by Chinese gamers, GOG said they were going to release it and then a couple hours after said “yeah we checked with our ‘gamer friends’ and they said no”, and now the only place you can get it is from the developer’s own site.

Yeah the mangaka wasn’t kidding when they said that the history of human rights in Taiwan is a complex topic.
