For now, I'll just watch and wait. It's a shame this happened but I'm not surprised that it did. I'll refrain from uploading any more chapters unless we get some confirmation that it's safe to do so and I would ask that everyone else do the same.
I do, however, want to make two things clear.
- Do NOT harass, bother, or go after NikukaiQ-sensei, Sunday-Webry, or Shogakukan for this (I believe Shogakukan is the publisher for Sunday-Webry). I understand that we don't have any official English version to read and that the Japanese chapters are time locked but let's not act like children here. Especially since it's very likely that Shogakukan is the only one involved in the takedowns and it is within their legal right to do so, even if we don't agree with it. I'm sure you'll be able to find the chapters uploaded to some other site as they inevitably do.
- Please continue to support the official releases as they come. Check out Sunday-Webry and spread the word of the Giant Ojousama by engaging with NikukaiQ-sensei on X/Twitter. Even if we don't get fan translated chapters, I don't think any of us want to see this manga lose popularity or fail.
I will continue to monitor the situation but I ask that everyone remain respectful about all this. I do still have all of my chapters saved (though there are a few early chapters that weren't translated by me) and if we get an okay to keep going, I will reupload if needed. I will also continue to provide any major news regarding the series through this comment section.
Again, please do not reupload any chapters and do not harass any of the involved parties, no matter if you think we are being wronged. Let's all be adults about this and not start throwing tantrums like children.
