a pity, a girl who doesn't know her own heart and cant see from others perspective. She has worked hard and kudos for that, but she have forgotten her weak self as a result and cant relate to others(if i can succeed because i work hard, others could too)

Honestly, I don't get why people hate the black-haired girl. The blonde doesn't have anything good going for her, and she's acting like she's better than anyone, yet she gets surprised when he says he likes the other girl. This manga really goes to show that sometimes, if not always, personality beats the looks.

Thanks for the translation.

So far, MC is annoying and the other girl is boring, and the guy...I hope he is not the ML lol, nothing against him tho but can we have a really interesting character at least? 😂

I was hoping for not romance in this, but oh well. Let's hope Tenka doesn't try to do silly shit against the other girl.

Pretty bizarre for the MC to have a dynamic character that went from likable at Ch. 1 to someone that's about to change for the better.

thank you for the chapter, I think its because Momose has spent her life trying to groom herself to make the most out of herself and become what everyone would view as the superb ideal girl that no one would have any issues with or would see any flaws. So now that she's encountered someone who isn't as gifted in all aspects naturally like she is but is still trying to follow her own dream, work for it regardless how long it takes, and isn't doing this for anyone's acknowledgement but her own and still manages to be happy regardless of the results I think Momose is having difficulty processing how that is possible and someone can be like that and still have others like them more then her the ideal jk that meets everyone's expectations. She has is all the looks, naturally talented without much effort put in to hone them, in the school's dance club, is popular, and has the "cool & trendy" childhood friend of the opposite sex so she doesn't get why anyone would like the plain, earnest girl, with the positive personality who admires the very floor she walks on. I bet there will some backstory at some point regarding how something with her mom convinced that the only way she could be worthy of or worth people's time and attention is if she got on some pedestal and stayed there. I think that part what goes on in this series will be Momose learning from her rival and viewing her as a "girlcrush" because the other could teach her how to be happy with herself and to pursue her dreams and sense of self. Though I think part of it will likely start with Momose trying to copy the other girl's goal to become an idol in order to show her up with her natural "skill set" and "punish" her because she made Momose doubt herself and her way of life by unintentionally exposing some "flaw" of Momose's. Thank you for the chapter this is a fun series.

Momose has issues, she is a good person but because of her trauma with her mother and her competitive nature this clearly left her with certain problems, i think the biggest of them is that she is the type to be so caught up in her own sense of perfection that she completely rejects the views of those around her, which is a perfectly normal flaw for a teen to have... find me a teenager that isnt a hardheaded douchebag and i will point you a sociopath.

I can see she will grow a better person, but what she will deal with now will leave her confused and probably unmake part of this perfect persona she constructed more so because of her crush.

I am liking this series, can't say how good is the writing with only two chapters but the characters personalities are well shown, let's see how the conflicts are done (i am not expecting groundbreaking storytelling just a good story).

@alacaelum pretty sure you’ll find a lot of teens that aren’t hard headed douchbags but they definitely have flaws being a douchbag is just not one of them.

@greatninja3 I meant that anyone that isnt a douchebag at least at some points or at some topics in the teen years has some much more serious problems... and i was been hyperbolic, dont take everything literally i just wanted to exaggerate a little XD.

I’m liking this story a lot so far. In most other shoujo, Erian would be cute but plucky protagonist while Momose was the effortlessly cool queen bee rival. So it’s interesting to have the perspective flip of Momose as the protagonist and seeing that her cool isn’t effortless, it takes a lot of obsessive work and conceals deep insecurity and perfectionism. This story feels kinda like one of the “reborn as the villainess” trope stories in its sympathetic portrayal of an unsympathetic POV.
