I think that’s just the power dynamic between Wakana and Yura even before they got bitten.
Wakana said Yura was a crybaby who depends on her when they’re younger. But maybe that’s how Yura got into position where she can’t say no to Wakana. Seeing her reaction, wouldn’t be surprised if Wakana unknowingly traumatised her into it ^^;;

Still wouldn't explain Wakana not following orders the same as Yura though, the only explanations are that Wakana is either 1: protected by a powerful entity or 2: Wakana is a supernatural entity herself (that includes possible Van Helsing type hunter bloodlines) or 3: that that other comment was correct and she was only mentally altered as Kin like Yura was only altered physically or 4: she is so crazy that her body thinks it's following the commands correctly.

And here I thought she doesn't actually have any abilities to turn people into servants. It's just that the girl is so weird that it made it difficult to tell.
