I love these monsters. But yeah, the world building and back story is a lot more interesting and in-detpth looking then one would think from what at first looks like a light gag manga. Certainly seems to be hinted that demons and angels are both creations of ancient magic users trying to directly tap light/dark, maybe after immortality or extreme power or something. Can't wait to see more!

Demon King can just erase whole sections of space and time, completely bypass a hero's divine protection, and can destroy anything he wants if he wants. Wasabi fights him to a draw. It's kind of scary if you think about it; anything can be as strong as the Demon King.
