eh, it is not pointless if he bangs her. Then there will be a future arc where his child has noble blood.

Also possible it is just a medium to introduce his ability to see ghosts of living people. I still don't get what white rooms has to do with that, since they forgot to remind us about stuff from that long ago. But that ability might be meant for later arcs.

Honestly, this was a good ending. It didn't try to be something grand or over the top. Lucille is just the daughter of a hidden relationship, and that's it. It's down to earth and not nonsensical garbage like her being the true heir to some ancient dynasty or something. She got some closure on something she had never known, and Rook did a good deed. That's plenty for the story.

Probably thinking too much but, it's either:
A. The ghost is somebody else, not Melina, could be dear friend or something.
or
B. Lucille current mother is not the real Melina but someone else who assume her identity for Lucille's sake, and the real Melina really had passed away.

Guess it was only a filler till the author decided how to continue the story.

Her mother is resting in the country due to a back injury. She is alive and well in the sense she is not dead, just not well in the sense that she cannot currently preform her duties as a maid for the clan.

As fun as this would be to watch that unfold, the current tag selection lack either romance or drama. So the chances are slim to none our boy will be climbing the stairs to adulthood any time soon.
