She wasn't dead for even a minute, the doctors didn't even have time to try resuscitation so yeah, it does sound like he snatched her body during that brief moment because her heart only stopped for a couple seconds that might as well count as just arrhythmia due to the extreme stress she was under.

This is assuming that the heart will still came back on if the guy spirit never came. What if the reason the heart only stopped for a moment is because the guy got reincarnated in her body the moment that she died? That's like, reincarnation 101.

Speak for yourself, I think this is vastly more interesting than those common scenarios you mentioned. This opens up for some cool writing possibilities compared to the usual stuff where people just insert past-life experience on top of another character

That the first four pages are a vividly distinct nightmare this new mother was having during a traumatic and near-fatal childbirth. I know that might be kind of lame, but it makes sense from what we see in this chapter.
