You're contradicting yourself, your reasoning for one of my suggestion contrasts the other one. The reason I said those suggestions are to mitigate the backlash they're encountering.

If they would've stuck to the schedule despite being snipped, people will think "Oh, they didn't just drop this they're just sticking to the schedule."

The reasons you stated for them not to upload immediately, isn't good enough.
Multiple projects? Drop them, they have too much and just gooble up what's they want to translate that they can't keep up.
Delayed TL? This is a problem even if they have a schedule and doesn't affect them if they upload immediately when a chapter is ready.
Varying staff? Same response as delayed TL.
Uploading for getting money? Why should we, as readers who don't think their practice of goobling up mangas and updating them when they want to is bad, care about this?

If you still think that in this particular case the criticisms are not deserved then Let's just agree to disagree.

Counterpoint: Making exception to the series they are actively updating would PROVE your point that they only update after someone snipes (though I don't consider someone taking over when it's been 3 months to be sniping).

That might be exactly (or part of) why they try to keep a 1 month release schedule for their active projects.

No, this isn't a problem (or atleast much lesser of one) if they have a schedule with plenty of time. If they didn't have a schedule with plenty of time it could on the other hand mean very irregular uploads varying between weeks and several months.

I never said anything about that you should care about it, I just mentioned a VALID reason that ANY TL group would delay uploading their latest chapter(s) to a site that doesn't monetize (I don't like it either but I will still say it's reasonable/understandable). If you care about it is completely and utterly irrelevant.

Yeah, I 100% disagree with the criticism in this particular case. The reason I disagree is mainly because it lessens the valid complaints on the other series that are "missmanaged".

It's like the people complaining about cop shootings and lumping together the unjustifiable shootings and the demonstrably self defence shootings, it makes the point less valid overall.

They are right if we consider the idea that the people making the "like a clockwork" comments might not factor in how chapters for this series wasn't as delayed as the other GDS series, and might just be referring to how GDS only decides to upload when they get sniped.

I translated my version of this chapter for two reasons. The raw has been out for a month already and hasn’t been translated for a while, and I got some free time to translate it. I sometimes translate series that have a few chapters of untranslated raws to help with the updating. I genuinely did not know about these sniping rules and thought its been a month since it was last updated and has been forgotten already. With that, I won’t translate any future chapters of this series anymore since I unknowingly “snipe” translated this chapter.
