The funny thing is that everyone get's hung up on their missconception that I'm defending GDS (noone seems to be very good at reading comprehension) when in reality I'm making fun of the stupidity of whining where what you're whining about isn't an issue.

I get that you aren't explicitly defending them, but it comes across as though you're defending them, which is enough for most people that hate GDS. Personally, I can't stand them either, but I get the angle you are going for here. I've been saying that there are plenty of cases where Degen deserves critique (and where something like the "like clockwork" comment is justified) because they haven't kept to a release schedule and ONLY updated once someone else tried to take over, THIS is NOT one of those cases, they have released 1 chapter about every 4-6 weeks (give or take a few days) for atleast the past year, that's a pretty regular release schedule.
It's no big surprise that Degen would release the planned chapter (which was expected no later than in this week if they kept up with the TL release schedule) immedeatly if someone snipes the series that hey are ACTUALLY actively working on.

The people making the stupid (as predicted, like clockwork etc) comments on this chapter release are basicly as stupid as someone walking out in the pouring rain without rain gear and exclaim "See, I told you I'd get wet" or predicting that boiling water is hot.

Since this wasn't one of their "abandoned" series (it was activelly being mentained after all), I'd say it's justified to try and "combat" someone horning in. And no, I'm still not defending Degen's (no matter how many times people refuse to understand what they read) deplorable behaviour on "abandoned" series where they only update when someone else does, but here it's understandable.
