I honestly don't remember the LN describing it (much at all, let alone specifically like this) but I guess it fits in with the theme where all of his Lv.1 shit resembles Minecraft & everything that comes after resembles other higher-fidelity games lol

Thanks for the chapter, translator! FWIW the LN translated those as "gleaming magic jewels" & while it doesn't really matter in the long run it definitely makes it roll off the tongue easier IMO. Especially regarding the phrase "gleaming magic jewel bomb", AKA Literally Just A Nuke, which is where it comes up more often going forward unless he's specifically describing "oh I upgraded the X with Y and Z" where Z happens to be one of said magic jewels, which is much less often lol

it's really the perfect subversion right after introducing this particular resource, because usually when trash (affectionate) isekai introduces the concept of Bomb That Will Immediately Fix A Lot Of Our Problems As Long As We Pick Up The Pieces Afterward, the characters aren't gonna spend too much energy trying to brainstorm entirely new and separate ideas first lol

Strictly speaking, there are still missing components.

There's no second tier of bookshelves, no books in the recipe, no runes flowing to the table. The possible outputs imply a completely different logic of enchantment too, closer to mods and generic isekai crap.

I see everyone picking on the Minecraft stuff, but no one seems to have noticed that the artist also seems to be playing a lot of Monster Hunter lately. In that page where they're talking about what can be done with dragon mats, those are just straight up MonHun weapons. I recognized the Gravios Sword and Shield and the Jawbone Greatsword, and while the others are less 1-to-1, they looked like the Rathalos Greatsword, and I think the Gravios Shield from either the Lance or Gunlance? Couldn't really tell.
