Eh, I would just be happy if the old machinists would correct all the chumps calling him human. I just can't help but cringe every time it happens, knowing that the old fool likely doesn't even realize it himself.

"Any sufficiently advanced skill is indistinguishable from magic."

Hell yeah! Thanks for the TL! God I love this manga.

Reminds me of Overgeared. As the story progressed, blacksmithing chapters became way more scarce - yet were always a treat whenever Greed (Grid?) happened to immerse himself again.

I should probably pick up that novel again, I have an inkling it might have been wrapped up lately.

@_Yanagi_ damn your random trivia, and the subsequent Twenty-two hours of YouTube welding videos I ended up watching.

I'm sure there's people who learned trades everywhere; I tell ya, I'd love to have a gruff and friendly, somehow Japanese, video instructor like this chapter!

Also, random thought for everybody:
Did countries outside of the USA have training videos for trade schools?
And if so, were the videos crazy; like, somebody from Marketing got involved, and it got seriously weird?

If I had a nickel for every isekai I've read that introduced arc-welding, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
