A Japanese comment:
‘Sakura's success is only at the beginning, and then she gradually hits a plateau and gets propositioned for sex, right? And even if she wants to refuse, no one protects her, and instead encourages her, so she starts saying things like, "Shinobu would have protected me." Then, feeling cornered, she wanders off to Shinobu's place and meets Fumi, who tells her that Shinobu's infidelity was a misunderstanding, that he genuinely wanted Sakura to succeed as an actress and was thinking of quitting as her manager (someday), that he had been searching for Sakura all night, etc... and that probably drives her crazy.’
Only to then finally see Shinobu. And as she tries to extend a hand to him. He remembers the time he got stabbed for her, the nights he spent handing out flyers, the connections he used to establish for Sakura, the time he convinced her parents to continue on her career, times he rejected numerous women’s advances, and all that to be burnt by her infidelity, whilst he relentlessly searches for her throughout the night, to no avail and left with his thought in the middle of her vacant room. He in a euphoric blaze of anger rejects her and tells her to let Ikeman fend for her as she dips into the hellish landscape of JAV while Ikeman is in the corner of a dark room beating his meat to her JAV. On the screen, Sakura with dead dull eyes devoid of the life she once had, puts up an act for the cameras as the ugly oji-san pumps her, but deep inside a truth full of regrets is all she can conjure up as her final thoughts of the series:
‘Shinobu… I’m deeply sorry.’
That, ladies and gentlemen is top fucking tier head cannon that will probably not happen but would turn this manga from a 2/10, to a 9/10.
