Alright I’m properly back for Chapter 133. Hopefully it goes as anticipated with no cockblocks.

I skimmed and read through the forums and I have some things i’m desperate to reply too:

Was Sakura raped?

No. She kissed, lifted her dress, moved rooms, moved to the bed, did (weak) foreplay, and undressed herself without a single protest. Her vision of Shinobu before penetration was only the icing on the cake to what could be the end of her and Shinobu. Not her wanting to stop.

Regarding the share of blame in this whole fiasco.

Sakura is not purely to blame. She has a majority share of like 70% of the blame, but I agree with comments aforementioned regarding Shinobu sleeping with Fumi in his drunken state. The scene of Yuma catching him hugging Fumi would also stoke the flames of misunderstanding. He was prepared to admit to Sakura and accept being dumped if he went the full length (no pun intended) with Fumi. Blonde Bitch and Yuma share a minority share in the blame too for their manipulation of Sakura, not doing their due diligence of actually getting to know Shinobu and assuming he is a douche and relaying that information to Sakura.

Sakura Redemption?

KA has gone silent af since 129 and her rant. She did not intend to cause anger towards Sakura. This was probably for the best and I won’t be surprised if the magazine told her too keep quiet. Now, in terms of Sakura’s redemption? She is going to have to have a hell of a redemption. Cause right now, it feels like KA will do a desperate attempt of damage control. She might cry or sulk for a little bit but pretend that nothing has happened. I am not really going to rule out Sakura’s redemption, it almost feels inevitable. I just hope Shinobu takes her back. Some have suggested a plot armor? You’d have to fuck up the story for that to happen and the way this is being rushed? I would assume we have ~10 chapters of this manga left? I doubt but it’s not impossible.

Thanks for sharing your insights. The whole rape thing was just yap for the sake of it, I'll be shocked if the author tries to poke at it in anyway. As for the shirt thing, people can have their own view of it but she didn't do any lifting there. Ultimately Sakura is definitely to blame, but redemption will likely follow in the coming chapters and we'll just have to see how the author feels it should go.

Didn't the author of this one retconned it mid story? It felt like he was trying something serious but then changed it for absurd comedy.

Yes, you're right ! This is an example of how chapters can be cancelled if they are deemed to be steering the manga in an inappropriate direction.

FYI, "I like you who can have sex with anyone (Dare demo Idakeru Kimi ga Daisuki)" cancelled chapter 31-35 like it never happened but the publisher was smart enough to sell them by compiling them into a separate volume! Wow.

Then, the author redrew the chapter 31 and continue the story till now. A major change in chapter 31 is the shift from a devoted protagonist to only FMC (rejected all girls) to the playboy he is today.

If it’s possible to rewrite any manga even after five chapters are already done, then "Grapara" can fix the big mistake in chapter 129 as well. Readers expected Sakura would survive at the last second just like in the past 128 chapters but she didn't.

Sadly, Airi Katsura (sensei) stick to her ego for not to redraw it though it destroys herself and her companions and etc. She's pathetic.

As a friend of mine suggested, the simplest solution is to just cancel chapters 128 and 129 and let chapter 127 connect directly to chapter 130. This way, there’s no need to redraw anything.

There are so many "easy" ways to fix this problem but Airi Katsura (sensei) choose the "difficult" way as we discussed that it's very very hard now to resolve the anger towards the character Sakura and the fucboy.

It is not surprising that she received so much criticism calling her stupid and stubborn though I dislike seeing anyone insulted that way because we should debate using reason rather than emotion. Sad and pathetic.

And from what I know because I also have an account on MagaPoke, those comments were from different Japanese readers because once your comment is deleted or hidden, you'll not be able to comment for a long period. So, the assumption that those Japanese comments were from the same person or a group of people seemed to be impossible for me.

That's why I was curious why these Japanese people mentioned the same thing and if it's not true, why the web admin quickly deleted them. So, I re-read it carefully and tried to find the answer about the definition of rape in Japan which may be different from the other countries.

Back to Sakura, if we notice carefully from chapter 128 till now, both of Sakura’s arms remain raised above her waist. So she did not remove her own skirt or undressed herself like being accused. So the fucboy is 90% at fault on raping her or whatever you said to soften it as the taking advantage. Please give her justice. We can angry and blame her for being extremely stupid but not to her having sex with the fucboy.

Appreciate the multiple detailed breakdowns you've done on this topic, even though it'll very likely be plot irrelevant in every possible scenario left for the story. Everyone is right to be mad but it's also important to acknowledge the facts beyond trying to frame it to get even more mad. Story's not over just yet

Shinobu is 100x more sound of mind atm, not breaking down in tears over some misunderstanding, just lightly reminiscing about Sakura and both him and Fumi went in for that kiss, compared to fucboi who was much more forceful in their approach.
