Going to make the most random comparison but things ending like they are now would make it as weird as if Erina from Shokugeki ended with Asahi instead of MC when he is actually her half brother and introduced as a love rival near the end. T he romance in Shokugeki was mostly an afterthought though...

I think that maybe after chapter 129, Airi didn't expect the outrage and hatred toward Sakura to be this terrible, so she might change her direction and not force the male and female leads back together.

In KZ the MC's technically ended "together" albeit twisted, but it was the best outcome that the setting of KZ allowed because the cast was just not mature enough or properly developed with veering too off course from its H manga roots.

It would be incredibly erotic if there were three more weeks of sex scenes between Fumi and Shinobu, but I also want them to try other positions, and when they climax, I want Shinobu to say "I love you, Fumi" and Fumi to say "I love you too," and for them to become mutually in love. I really don't see how any of you guys can see the author putting sakura and shinobu back into a relationship.
I have tried and just can not see a way that works for these two characters now.

There are plot devices that can still push toward this outcome, but what's more important is MC's feeling. Shinobu still thinks of Sakura a bunch until Fumi made her move, Sakura we still don't know. Just ask your closet self.

As much as Fumi can still get NTR’d (or used as bait). She’s kinda attached to Shinobu’s hip especially after his break up, producers request to make her the focal point of the movie and after that attempted rape incident, I don’t see her trusting any one other than Shinobu plus we can assume she isn’t as stupid as Sakura. Furthermore, based off the stories progression. Everything feels rushed, so I don’t even know how and who will steal Fumi.
Chiko is currently more likely to be taken from MC than Fumi is. I don’t even think MC will care.
