And frankly, reading about the misadventures of Sakura, while still hiding her situation is a big "who gives a fuck" from me.

Maybe the author wanted to "make it interesting but not too much" to not overshadow the ShiFumi scene. But... yawn....

The only part about Sakura I get defensive of is when people recklessly call her a whore or slut. I agree with you about the development but i disagree that fuckboi is better than Shinobu.

Because Shinobu was always as treated as guy who would do everything for Sakura achieve her dream and he is now focusing in his dream as a director and he tried his best to make Sakura happy,and Fuckboi since the introduction was only a guy that was treated for having a problematic personality(chapter 105)and he is really generic NTR manga character that doesn't add nothing more for the story than the NTR aspect of the story.

Fuckboi had many probletics things like badmouthing Shinobu,hit on her knowing that she was dating Shinobu,in his introductuon he was rude with both Sakura and Shinobu and after she run to him he just took advantage of her
