It's not that they talked and agreed to do it. Shinobu was against her going nude.

With the talk from Ryusei, Shinobu had a method to show off Fumi's body in a way where she doesn't have to get naked. He even wrote it and all. Fumi saw the pen he was using, recognizing it as the one Sakura was going to gift him.

So for whatever reason, instead of trusting Shinobu's direction, she goes behind his back and gets naked anyway and kiss the actor. She wasn't supposed to get naked. Shinobu had that covered.

Anyway, fucboy must realizes now Sakura never and will not love him from raping her (or what you'd like to call forced sex). IMHO, what the blond said in the end, she said if the fucboy cannot accept it then (you must let Sakura go).

Second, both Sakura and Shinobu still love each other and think of the time they spent together for over 100 chapters. Sakura said she lost her direction without Shinobu while Shinobu replied to Ryusei's praise the he thought nothing but to make Sakura shrine. Then he used the pen she gave him as a birthday present (he just kept it without use).

Fumi noticed Shinobu's usage of the pen and realizes the same thing as fucboy that Shinobu will never love her. So she decided to oppose him, resembling Sakura refused fucboy's opinion and implies the relationship will be broken.

Again, please be reminded that Keishi Nishikida sensei hold 50% right of Grapara. He might not let Airi Katsura (sensei) to fully control the ending of Grapara without the help of that mad editor. KN sensei is romcom author and every manga he made, the MC ends up with FMC.

I don't trust AK (sensei) but I still have a hope on KN sensei.

AK (sensei) may not be serious about Grapara's volume sales because she earned from Karami Zakari till she dies. But KN sensei and Kodansha are serious about it !

So, the first damage control Kodansha did might be changing the editor and then negotiating with AK (sensei) and KN sensei for the proper ending.

IMHO, Kodansha ordered that Sakura and Shinobu must be free from fucboy and Fumi in order to go back together so they didn't waste the former 100+ chapters.

Otherwise, Grapara will consist of only four volumes, 11 - 14, starting from when fucboy and Fumi appear (chapter 103 and 104). The stories prior to that are worthless, readers might throw those volumes away or burn them. LOL

Weird because I feel right now that fucboi and Sakura were going out after this chapter but you might be right. Have you had the chance to discuss with your mega Kodansha friend.

I think the fuckboi and ‘Sakura thing isn't just about a one-night stand anymore, based on the conversation between the blonde and the fuckboi. She asks him, “Are the two of you doing well?”, as if they were a couple

Development for almost all characters is dead atp.

Shinobu, no matter what he does, will probably end up having to live with some kind of compromise at the best.

Sakura is a lost cause

Yuma seems like he'll just support her from now on, or a clean break.

Fumi's fate will be decided next chapter..

And the other characters? Yeah. Lucky if they get any more dialogue.

Everything already feels so.. stagnant.. it's so weird.

We can hope for some shocking decisions from the least expected characters.. but.. the author has to use their pen for that to happen.

But the most likely scenario, atleast in my view, will be Shinobu having the worst day of his life. Maybe a time skip? Maybe more misery? Who knows.

Story it's so rekt that Fumi was on last chapter was the favorite character..now is trash. At this point there is no character gives u joy to read this mess is very chaotic and rushed plus everyone lost his braincells on each chapter.

But ahh, Airi just had to cook up a half-baked plotline to make Fumi turn on the guy she has been crushing over for like, half the damn manga, and act against him in a way that hurts him the most, and cram it all into one mindfuck of a chapter..

This makes Rent-a-girlfriend and it's characters seem.. decent in comparison.(Still not good.)

It's so wild that Sakura of all characters, has more development (albeit some shitty development) than the supposed "2nd FMC", all in the span of just one chapter..

This is the complete opposite of how she had been portrayed throughout the story, where everything she did was for Shinobu's sake. It feels extremely inconsistent with her established character, especially considering that all of these events take place within roughly the same volume.

To me, this is one of the clearest examples of just how trash Katsura Airi's writing is.
