I get the soldiers. It makes sense. Their lives have gone through hell, and there's a convenient scapegoat right here willing to take the blame. Not to mention that under the last 28 hour had then under varying amounts of shellfire. I think they had to unload some things.
But at the end of the day, she was just an idealist, who wrote a clumsy book
because the previous chapters had people pointing out that if you have some education you can see clearly evident issues with her thesis, and had the whole thing coopted by a foreign nation to their own ends, all while using her as a disposable pawn.
She then had all of that thrown on her face, had to realize hear idealism and naivety were at fault for all the deaths and destructions caused, and was then told she could do whatever since she was completely irrelevant at this point.
My dudes. This ain't a villain. This is a victim.
