This hurts. I really want Shuuji to pitch, I would like to see him excel in something he's so passionate about rather than having to accept being a catcher. Although, being a catcher is indeed fun and has its perks, I wanted him to overcome his yips and trauma. In a way, as it seems right now, he hasn't truly dealt with that, and I want him to triumph over it, so him being a pitcher would have been a bit better for me personally. But, this development is also welcomed. I like it and anticipate what could come from it with his character.
Shuuji is very relatable, and it's refreshing to have a protagonist who is seething, depressed and unsatisfied with his situation and the person he has become as a result of it. I like him for his imperfections and yet despite it all flowing against him, he continues to push through. I'm positive that, had it been me, I would have given up or quit playing, but not Shuuji, and that is what makes him admirable.
I wish this series got more feedback and scanlations. it definitely deserves it!
