While observing the painting of the Dark Saintess, she notices a small blue light emanating from the saintess’s hand, revealing ancient letters on the painting. These characters do not belong to Orta or Dutois and are difficult to decipher, requiring an expert in ancient languages. Nerr, the Dark Spirit King, appears and gives her a magical pendant linked to himself. When Rachel reads the ancient inscription, a bracelet manifests on her wrist, symbolizing that “the saintess grants power” and is activated through her. Nerr explains: “When the Spirit Kingdom unites, light and darkness will merge, and the sleeping dragon will awaken.” She realizes the prophecy is connected to the dragon’s appearance when balance between light and darkness is achieved.
A small white dragon, about 30 cm long, appears around her neck and shoulder, sleeping and making soft sounds. They notice its latent power and understand it is related to the bracelet and the prophecy. They decide to report to Richard and bring the dragon home, as Nerr indicated it must be “raised and protected.” The chapter closes with a mix of wonder, mystery, and the responsibility arising from awakening the dragon.
