Having Shin’s heart automatically makes Ao the vessel for Shin’s reincarnation. And from the looks of it, she knows that Ao has it, which is why she wants to make him happy

What’s confusing, though, is that in Chapter 26, Ao’s consciousness gets overwritten by Shin-1, and she clearly doesn’t recognize him. She even acts pretty hostile toward him

Maybe it’s because she never actually met Shin-1. By the time she found her “refuge,” Shin’s heart was already inside Ao’s body

It could also be because she lost part of her memories after throwing away her heart

Oh wow, haven't read this one in a while, so some explanation and stuff beyond fights are actually happening finally, and I guess they dated "all the way"....but in a flashback, still won't resume this one properly, but am grateful for the translation and the explanations/speculation.
