I like the art and the concept, but it's a bit annoying how disjointed and confusing the dialogue is. I guess it's supposed to add to the sense of surreality and mystery, but it's frustrating to read.

I wonder if translating it just becomes messy, kind of like how Homer/Odyssey from Greek can seem like a fractured poem in English.
There are a ton of context clues and cultural references that I think were meant for a native japanese audience that grew up on those rural “grandma’s tales”
