this'd be a lot less confusing if they dropped like at least 1 more detail into the story to give a better sense of time and place
so far the only clues we have are "some 3rd party recorded a log with the date august 9th repeating on it" & "the sky got weird & mc forgor everything", and if not for the 1st clue then the 2nd clue would much more logically be boiled down to "he watched his entire school get butchered in front of him while a monster did its best to fuck with his head so he subconsciously (but deliberately) forgot about everything" over a time loop because holy fuck that'd be traumatic, of course a kid would want to forget that shit lol. we haven't seen any deliberate proof like him going back to school & everyone being fine or anything yet, the monsters coming back was deliberately lampshaded with "well they're immortal so of course they come back eventually" long before the time loop was brought up, his mom is just always gone so we don't get any clues like she's only home 1 out of X (however long the loop is) days or anything like that... ngl, it just feels sloppy, like the artist decided "actually i want this to be a time loop story now" despite the fact that the only thing allowing such a pivot was that the story was kinda vague to begin with, not that there was anything to suggest a loop. I'll keep reading but I hope this new fixed direction gives us more details to latch onto & similar "twists" with basically zero foreshadowing are avoided, lol.
