He had zero remorse, because he lived knowing, as a fact, that he will die before reaching 20 and got used to simply not seeing his abusers as the same kind of humans as him. I was looking forward to how the author would prepare an answer for this, but the whole body possession thing turned out to be easily undone (which makes it less problematic than murder). I guess we'll never know where his moral compass really pointed in.
