@KochengOren Cosplay girl is the rule 63 version of a famous Japanese kickboxer/MMA guy/cosplay otaku: Yuichiro "Jienotsu" Nagashima. They're both Nippon Kempo practitioners too.

@Odoritomaki: You definitely earned Rui's eyeballs on this with the insane amount of work you do. Also, the Fujiwara Armbar is usually shortened to "wakigatame" if it's not called the Fujiwara Armbar.

@Raknasuu If you're talking about Battle Athletes, then yes, he's doing the official anime adaptation. This will be officially the first anime to feature his character designs.

Well, judging by the comments on bookwolker, our comments don't differ much from the Japanese ones. The only difference is that Western folks are obviously thinking more about the social aspect.

@justjorge is it expensive to commission him?

@SuperOniichan i think the anime doesn't have him as a character designer, just the manga he is drawing. (The key art of the anime doesn't look like his art-style at all)

@Njoku He was announced from the beginning as the author of the original plot of the reboot, so I think his plot and style were taken as a basis.

@justjorge wow, I've looked all over the internet to find Fan Art but couldn't find almost anything but you got official fan art. Are there more pics posted somewhere?

That match looked like bullshit to me.
There are two main branches of Capoeira, one focusing on faster moves at a normal height, and the other focusing on staying very low to the ground. I can't remember which was which any more by name, unfortunately (I'm not Brazilian and don't speak Portuguese). But back when I used to do Capoeira, I used to hate the slow & low form as it absolutely killed the muscles to forcibly keep all movements that close to the ground.
Point being I can't believe a mestre capoeirista would be thwarted so easily by dropping low unless they were 100% focused on the high + fast branch (which is easier, counterintuitively).
I mean sure, capoeira NEVER wins in martial arts tournaments in Asian fiction. NEVER. It always gets treated like a joke that gets taken out in the first round or so. But they could have at least found a more realistic way of doing it.

That aside, I figured that other karate woman would go through originally. I guess the outcome was what I expected afterall, but just took a roundabout way to reach it.
How bothersome.
