Angry mob swarming you because they want more food? Well, turns out it's because you subconsciously imbued a bit of dissatisfaction in your crops! Can't just have people being greedy selfish pricks for the sake of it just like in real life, no sir.
Now some of you might say, "Well, this isn't that kind of manga, I just want cute saintess doing cute saintess things." And I completely agree. So why did the author bother making this arc in the first place? The 'no free handouts because people will take advantage of you' is in fact a good life lesson, it was just implemented in a haphazardly and ultimately unnecessary way that ironically rendered the moral lesson pointless.
