I read only Chapter 1 so far
it was enjoyable and the art was quite good and cute
and the chibi'fied characters make it all the better

Not really any of the relaxing read I was hoping for. It's a pretty high-strung comedy; everyone (including the MC once the intro is done with) is stressed out all the time.

And the author makes some pretty, uh, controversial statements about the nature of poverty and charity, in a way that neither really managed to be 'lighthearted comedy' nor 'incisive commentary' and instead just made me think "great, what other half-baked opinions of the author is this going to end up being a clumsy mouthpiece for".

It has some things going for it, mind; it's decent sometimes at bucking expectations or at reveling in absurdity. It's not not funny, even if I was alternating between being amused and cringing a bit. It's somewhat that sort of series.
