Where I'm from (UK) men will try to undermine other men to make the accusers feel better about themselves. This often takes the form of questioning their sexuality or outright hinting that they're gay

Regarding AFAB's wearing men's clothes, I've known transmen not passing even when doing that. Japan appears to be rather different than here
