Thank you for the TL.

We're lucky that Senpai doesn't take this shit laying down and is willing to confront our boi with his recent behavior to nip at the bud fairly early on.

I suppose I'm too old to understand what he's feeling because this chapter just annoyed me. :(
basically he’s feeling that him associating with her will end up being a burden to her. It’s the classic romcom trope of the MC jumping to a conclusion on their own and thinking that the right course of action is to avoid the love interest, leading to manufactured drama. You’re not alone, this trope is really annoying

Why do author always feel the need to make the protagonist have such low self-esteem it is so frustrating. Why even make an assumption based on gossip, Haimiya must’ve felt hurt when Kurose just start ignoring her.

These tropes happen because high schoolers are stupid and immature and do stupid and immature shit on the daily. It's fine to find things like this annoying, but if one does, one is perhaps better served reading romcoms involving adults.
This would be solid advice if adult romcoms didn’t also have these unnecessary tropes

Hey, folks. Do your best not to fall for the "just another one of their friends" mentality. Everyone has their own lives but the time you spend together with the people you love is special in its own way and not quantifiable. Not every relationship has to be on the same level, doesn't need to compete for the most mental bandwidth or actual time.

No... Little man fell for the romdrama trap of considering the feelings of the Haimiya he made up in his head instead of the one in front of him. :meguuusad:
