The plot going nowhere isn't a problem. I'd be fine with even an episodic-style manga with disconnected chapters, save the only occasional story arc. The problem is that the characters themselves are going nowhere. Takamine has shown some progress - at least in the sense that she's trying more. But Shirota is getting even more boring, because he's become desensitized to Takamine. I can't even get a cheap laugh since he barely reacts to Takamine's perverted antics anymore.

What's the point? If MC is too comfortable with Takamine, why doesn't the author let him make a move? If not Takamine, why not at least use that chill factor with other characters? Make the payoff be that Shirota has so little thirst or is so unimpressed by other girls, as a result of constantly being surrounded by 10/10s, that it surprises his classmates. Anything would be acceptable, just not this overplayed "comedy" skit.

Why do authors of these type of mangas write male MCs like they are some kind of dog? like holy shit, all the male MCs I've seen so far within this manga category are literally pet dogs, tbh it would be more fun and interesting if they made the MCs actual dogs.

The only decent male MC i've seen so far than if decent and has "chad energy" without being an asshole/degenerate is Shirogane from Love is war.

She's supposed to be pretty smart, yeah? And the whole set-up, her whole task unto him, is making them figure out if she's either not wearing a bra or not wearing panties.

A smart person, if their objective is to keep that information hidden, would be avoiding sources of strong wind and reflective surfaces. She knew the puddle was there and still chose to step over it. The only reason why maybe not looking might've been the right move is we already know she's not above fabricating false claims to ruin somebody's life (like she did to him before the first time loop to blackmail him into being subservient).

But wait, the author's been trying to make us forget that bit for the longest time and the MC never thinks about it...so there's really not any reason for him to have not looked other than being pathetic. Gah.
