So like, there was that flashback of them playing together as children multiple volumes ago with an indication that they separated on bad terms due to some kind of argument. Whatever happened to that, anyway? Why was that put on hold for like five billion years? It was kinda linked to his childhood friendship with Eri, but then Eri turned out to be completely unimportant to the plot and that whole plot thread was just forgotten it feels like.
