From my perspective, someone was adding them to undermine the manga's visibility (troll),
Right, so, when you said
believing I was doing this to increase visibility
it's not just because we blindly "believed" you're doing so, but based on what you have yourself indicated and said. Whether it was done "illegally" from your perspective or not isn't really the issue here.

The important part here isn't whether you were right in doing it or not. As Tristan__ already said, the edit restriction was more to stop you from engaging in the edit war at least temporarily. That's not a big deal in itself, we could've just given it back once you understood the reason and agreed to it.

The actual problem here is what BraveDude8's been telling you: that you have not indicated any reason besides better visibility to justify removing the erotica tag. You've been given arguments as to why it should be tagged as such, you have yet to respond to any of them. As long as you don't respond, we have no choice but to assume that that's your only reason, and so we can't really trust you to tag things correctly.

Precisely because of all the confusion that escalated, I think it was important for this communication to occur via private message on the forum or something similar. Anyway, my intention was to prevent whoever was vandalising and adding tags that were not there before from reducing the manga's visibility. My point about visibility is exactly that—I understood that tags were being added, someone was deliberately trying to reduce visibility, and I removed them to revert to the original state.

This is my explanation, now outside of the whole conflict that happened in the PEEP threads. This is the kind of conversation I wanted to have, plain, fair and simple.

On my side, I don't know if what I got was a temporary restriction, a permanent ban, or anything else, on my view, it's permanent. And this was exactly what triggered me.

Yes, I understood that from your last message. I can't help but notice you still didn't give a reason why the erotica tag is not valid, and you just seemed to re-iterate that your only concern was to give the title higher visibility. Or prevent it from having lower visibility, which are same thing for the purpose of this discussion.

The main reason is what I read in the guidelines for tagging (using Portuguese on the website language), for erotica
The erotica line said specifically about sex with some kind of censorship. Which in my understanding, was limited to sex being present and with censored body parts, and didn't apply to lower situations (like showing up censored body parts only).
In chapter one, there was a sex panel, but without any body parts, chapter two got censored body parts, but without sex, and so on. I also got in doubt about which one should be applied, and the cold reading sent me to suggestive, to avoid mistagging.
I don't know if the translated guideline could also play a factor, but this was what I have read there, I can't access the edit panel anymore so I cant really give you the exactly line for each of the tags.
In the tag situation, I just wish it was more open (promoted), because as I said, I didn't even know about the discussion before the situation (even being the uploader, lol)

The sentence in question begins with "in general" rather than "specifically". To this objection I really have no clear response other than to say that it should be plain common sense to understand that rape, pissing, and spreading and photographing women's bare crotches is in no way "safe" or merely "suggestive".

As I mentioned in the support thread, this tagging requirement isn't just arbitrary or something to rules-lawyer and mess around with, it's there to make sure we don't get banned again from countries with overly strict pornography laws, so as I'm sure you understand we take it pretty seriously.

I do and I'm fine with the tag situation, all I what I say about it is to make it clear or somehow promote to people engage in it. I would not change the tags if it was done by Staff, I don't have the log to see who did what there) Because on my view it was pretty much day one zero tags, day two all the tags, locked out, day three I lost my edit permissions permanently. Being overprotective to avoid bans is fine, especially with PEEP being in the middle ground between both tags. That's all that I need to know about that. Making it clear is all good.
I still don't know if what I have is a restriction, a ban, or what is it, what is it exactly?

Alright, then I'm personally satisfied with what I wanted to say. I'm not in charge of deciding who's restricted or not, though.

You're prevented from editing title information, you'd have to submit reports to suggest edits like any normal user. That's it. All other GL level extra permissions you still do have. You're still more privileged than 99% of users here.

Ok, but I'm still not aware of the duration of this, so I would really appreciate to know if this is a permanent thing or a temporary.

I've got no dog in the whole tagging situation but I will say that punishing readers by delaying chapters for weeks/a month over a squabble is a little petty. Most people aren't going to bother heading to an entirely separate site to follow it, heck, other groups that have pulled the same thing have just shut down altogether when they've tried.

I've had a fair talk in private with the staff today; we're all good now. I will keep the delay, but only to fix any issues with the chapter before posting on MangaDex, so no more than a one-week delay.

Agreed. I think it's a good thing character development and narrative wise that the MC is broadening his horizons and actually seemingly finding something he wants to do with his life that doesn't strictly involve following Yame. I do wish Yame showed up more since the manga is about their relationship but it is healthy for two people to not be dependent on each other for validation.

In fact, involving Yame more while showing that they both are pursuing different ventures/career paths would be a shockingly realistic depiction of adult relationships. How they manage the fact that they work in essentially different worlds while still managing their time so they can spend it with each other when they can is a very real issue for working adults. If the author actually knew what they were doing it would be great, but instead Yame is relegated to just an occasional cameo in her own fucking story whenever MC needs a confidence boost.

I really thought when we went through a similar arc earlier with the confectionary girl we'd see him realize he enjoys management and would work with Yame, handling the business side while she does the baking/cooking and they would become a power couple but then we got distracted by this manga club nonsense. I still hold out cope hope that we'll eventually return to that point and Yame starts to feature more regularly or at the very least they do a collaboration with Yame so she gets more screentime that isn't obviously pity.

Its one panel...ONE panel, without even going dark as this didnt even matched its theme. Lets be real, if you have "sexal violence", you would expect violence. We all know what that means and what to expect. Nothing happen here. And this is the problem I see why the tagging system is so fucked up here. We have the same tag, but it get applied randomly.
On one hand, we have to take and apply it as word for word. No exception. Dosent mater if its a dream, a panel or even just implied. On the other hand, we have to jump through hoops and rings as to even get close remotly why said tag is applied in said manga.
And by the way its fiction... Real world is not fiction... I know people get triggered these days almost about everything but if we apply what you said, then let them as its their site. But please by the grace of the Erdtree they should apply this nonsensical standart on every, single, manga here.
You seem somewhat upset by this, I'm just seeing things from the other side, didn't say I felt one side was right or wrong. Just discussing their potential reasoning for overruling the tags. Plus I wouldn't want to open that on the bus, might upset the little old lady sat next to me, assuming her vision's good enough to see my screen. Should she mind her own business, yes. Will she, who knows
