I love the fact that Yame complaininig about christmas is like an echo on how Junichi was feeling during their high school era at the same period of the year. The main difference is that Yame had worked her butt off to make a surprise party for this hack back then.
She worked at her part-time and made a lot of cake at the same time. Like busy as hell.

This started is a high school generic Haram romcom about a Yankee and a nerd and that was really cool and then they changed about 90% of the cast and the Yankee girlfriend isn’t even featured as much anymore and I just don’t really know what the story is?

This is the same story that had the girl fall asleep a second before their potential 1st time, then go "next time for sure, we'll get plenty of chances from now on" only for the author to off-screen the 3rd year of high school and say that zero progress was made, replace 90% of the side characters and have this irrelevant new faces to drive the plot forwards and expect us to care, I seriously don't know where the author is going with this.
