Most of my friends who have chinese name also have english name but it is easier to remember friends who are not chinese.

As we said at length in the server before the strawpoll was created, translating the names creates a dissonance in the story from the names and the setting because they become a bunch of chinese people in China with anglophonic names, which introduces a strangeness to the story. It also wipes away a lot of the preexisting cultural identity the story brings with it by just writing over the existing cultural context. Translations with translated names are worse than ones without, all else being equal.

Honestly i don't like the way Chinese names sound most of the time but even i know you shouldn't change them from the original. Integrity is important!
