they work only when the events repeat and tend to have a similar conclusion to the original. I can't really remember well a good example, there's way too much bad ones hahaha.
Some otome's work well because when the villainess is not involved somehow she ends killed in the routes make the story interesting in why the world wants to k!ll her.

I mean yeah if the world itself enforces it and make things happen I could understand, but my guy went away for 3 years with 0 issue, unlike that one other manga where the MC is forced to be mean and say mean things (even though he did change some things) or even Death Is the Only Ending for the Villainess where she's forced into it, those are understandable but not here.

I've read a few too many manga like that, it's just so dumb. "I've not done any crimes or evil things the original villain was meant to do that leads to his death, but I still haven't found how to avoid my death, oh no!" like, is your brain ok, author-san

Honestly I think it is one of the better harem related stories, but it still has the common issue of love interests losing personality overtime. It also helps that the love interests are not annoying.
