I realized something.

I know he's meant to be a first boss shmuck who gets his backside beat black n' blue to show off how strong the MC is- and further ruin MC's attempts at laying low because he can't help helping- but I will give this prick credit where credit is due.

He's perhaps the most genuinely polite slime ball of his type I've seen in these academy setting series. He's not acting like he's entitled to her because of his status and is in fact even admitting that his family is of lesser prestige compared to her own. He doesn't brazenly lust after her body and makes what feels like an appropriately "professional" sales pitch based on mutual benefit (since noble family marriages are usually about business and politics anyways) while actually treating her like a lady.

Again, still a slime ball. Still a clown that's gonna taste dirt. But one with a semblance of professional decorum and public decency. I appreciate that.

Hmm wonder will the hero is a true hero like in the story (rare case) or hero and MC role have been switch ? Although the befriend the Hero option is so rare anyway : )) Not to mention the MC usually doing hero thing for him too : ))

I feel like the easiest way to escape his 'death flag' would be just befriend the Protagonist

Also, characters either have agency or they don't mister MC, you can't both say that you want to avoid your death flag and say that all the girls have to end up with the Protagonist. Because one of those imply that the story can change, and the other one implies the opposite
He’s already been dragged back to the academy by random coincidence, he really should be paranoid more than ever.

Emiya Shirou and Matou Shinji were actually friends in a way.

Fate would probably just bring them in conflict with each other despite being friends. He already tried to avoid everything but ended up in the academy anyway.

The best way would be to abandon the saintess, hop on a boat, and then go into the wilderness in another continent.

I mean, I do like both these girls. Could really do without the harem though. Just pick one or the other and let them be friends.

Even lacking any knowledge of his past, you would think a handkerchief being thrown is suspicious enough to not just grab it.

Not just the art style, but the pacing of each chapters and the female characters not giving that feeling oversexualization... If someone had told me that it was an original work and not a manga adaptation, I might would had fell for it.

Who ever is the mangaka, so far I think he is way more skilled than most mangaka that works on adaption from Light Novels. I saw that each chapters are divided in 3 parts on the Japanese website, but it still feels a lot better than a lot of adaptation I've read so far.

I wonder if the third girl on pg 1, the silver haired girl that he saved from the house, was secretly the princess.

It's kinda weird for her to be in the spotlight when she wasn't part of the game heroines.

I'm worried that Celia and Tits McGee here have a case of Sameface disease which is gonna be a problem in.... literally every page that's not a big color splash. I guess there are two ways to tell them apart but if the "camera" is zoomed on their faces it might be an issue.
