Sorry, I might have come across as too cantankerous, but you know, even officials get it wrong nowadays. The only places I see it used right are in our own group's chapters because I'm the proofreader. So on seeing it in such a stellar translation like yours I felt maybe I should just move on and accept it, the usage has turned the old difference into dead letter. It doesn't help that the past of "to lie" is "lay", of course.

Still, good acting, regardless. Maybe he was too used to it in the labs.
