If I had to describe this series, I would say it is the standard yuri series, perfect for someone new to the genre or manga in general. It doesn't take the world by storm; instead, it is a comfortable world that almost feels like coming home.
Honestly, the characters are pretty standard for a yuri series. Hana is the short cutie that secretly works for her hobbies. She isn't really notable besides her cuteness and her empathy. She (mostly) does an excellent job at being inoffensive in any way. Hina is the tall cool model that secretly loves cute stuff, another standard yuri manga lead character. The entire school feels obsessed with her, so she is somewhat isolated from everyone except for Hana when it comes to what she wants to do. The other characters aren't really of note, though Hana's best friend is pretty decent.
The story is very standard: girl loves girl in a world where that's not considered normal, so the she has to carefully navigate her feelings and strive for happiness. There are details I like and story beats that are intriguing to a small degree, but there were 2 major issues I had. The first was towards the latter middle half where one avoids the other, something happens to the other girl, and the first girl is bothered that the other girl didn't tell her... This whole conflict and cause are pretty quickly forgotten when it shouldn't. The other issue is the final conflict... It was weak and forced, but the conclusion that comes from it was pretty awesome, so I forgive it.
8/10 It's the perfect starting point to get into GL, so I do recommend it! Just enjoy a predictable, simple, and angsty sweet story between two lovely high school girls. For veteran readers, it's like coming home after a long day out in the exciting world of work and adventure.
