gyaru > idol change my mind
Manga gyaru are pretty different from real gyaru.
Or even the concept of gyaru.
Gal's speak weird, and are culturally known to be sexually promiscuous (sleep with a lot of men.)
This is why the gal in this manga's friends are so loose about sexual talk and say shit like, "you haven't had sex yet?"
They don't really care about school (which to be honest this manga kinda does)
They're super into fashion and normy shit (so they're kinda basic.)
On the plus side, they're usually pretty physically attractive underneath the makeup because they care greatly about their appearance.
Manga idols are not too different from real idols.
Outside of them working in a toxic industry full of sexual predators, the nature of their job means they work hard, and take extreme care in their relationships.

In this manga, the gal's barely even a gal. Literally all that makes her a gal is the makeup and her friends. She doesn't even talk like one.
You wanna know what I want to see. I want to see her fight with the MC, and the other gal's invite her to a mixer to "get over that loser." When they get there it's a bunch of college aged dude-bros, who have expectations of the girls because they're gals. Forcing her to actually look at the identity she's established for herself. MC can come in just in time to help her or be happy with the other twin.
The idol character to me is just a little bit boring.
I like how forward she is with her asking the MC to go to the park with her. It's very rare to get female characters who actually take initiative in these manga and it really made me like her. So far the gal's got all the character development though. It makes sense since idol's are prohibited from having "public" romantic lives, but I do hope they spend more time characterizing the idol. She just feels like a plot device right now.
