2. At this point, I'm kinda hoping this guy has completely misconstrued the whole situation and ends up giving the princess a real reason to have him killed. Dude's a shitstain, doesn't deserve to come out on top, and certainly doesn't warrant any support from the reader. Of course, given what kind of story this is setting out to be, I'm sure it'll bend over backwards to justify all this dude's actions.
