Nah I’ve read enough to know having a collaborator can make things more interesting. Our mc has zero political power and even with his squad isn’t necessarily enough to be a pivot point without the right person to use them. Unless the princess got the initiative to move early things wouldn’t have changed drastically. Cause the empire is gonna need to flip some countries into allies too
