Not to knock this series, but human protagonists are a dime a dozen, so that's not really a selling point.

Jokes aside, it's honestly pretty generic so far. There have been a number of knock-off series that followed the Overlord formula after its success, so I am not surprised that this hasn't really gotten a following based on that alone. Time will tell if it has enough merit to stand on its own legs.

Very old game from LucasArts in the 16-bit Era: Afterlife.
A totallynotSimCity variant where as supreme being you run both Heaven and Hell, and need to develop both .... through promoting "viewpoints" on the Afterlife in the World Below.
Which meant, indeed, pitting peeps against each other and instigating Holy Wars, and..... 😉

To be fair.. it was a pretty good tactical citybuilder... especially for its time..
It's also the only game ever that quite graphically used the concept of the Human Centipede...
