Then I guess part of being an "adult" is just accepting things as is and try to only look forward as long as they lead to "happiness". If things work out on both sides, then it works - that kind of mentality. If that's what the author is trying to say here, then I'm cool with that.

I don't know if it's just this chapter or what but like... minori has a big head. like, physically, it's a big ass melon. Especially when she's standing next to her dad (to be). His head is drawn more proportionally but she has a big, round head on a smaller body so it makes it kinda look a bit wierd. Lovely chapter though

Well part of what made his portraits of her mom so good was his love for her, while I think he loves her daughter in a way, it's not the same kind of live. Artistic inspiration isn't the same for every subject across the board.

It's not that relevant, he wouldn't be painting her as part of his job or out of personal interest, just to please her.
