How did the mom managed to survive on her own and raise a daughter without starving out? Sheer luck?

Seems like the focus of this manga is moe-style cooking, like if K-On was about food instead of music. I'll only get annoyed if after a couple chapters the character's interactions and development of the plot is shunted in favor of cutesy cooking montages.
wut, just go read Amaama to Inaazuma, there's a lot of food themed manga that are cute af. (also the miso manga is a good one)

There was a panel showing her bringing home convenience store food.

From that, we can safely assume she just bought prepared foods that need nothing more than a microwave or hot water at most.

pretty cool maybe the mc will become a househusband in the future and the girls gonna cover his expenses-

His ex's daughter is too old to be his so technically he can play at winning her over and turning her into his new young wife. That would be the ultimate revenge for his ex leaving him.
ok what the fuck is actually wrong with you bro you gotta be locked up

I'm so curious as to where this manga will go, while completely uninterested in this plot. I'm so interested as to what the author will do with this story, because I've been baffled as to why they would make a manga with this kind of basis without there being some intention to it that pays off later on.

Or, I could just be going insane. I'm seriously struggling to understand why any person would make a manga that's advertised as a cooking SoL with such a weirdly striking premise.
"Wouldn't it be neat if"

I'm a bit tired of the minimalist concept everyone is trying to live these days. I grew up without most things, and owning things is fun. That might also explain when I'm a lot more materialistic than people around me I guess, because I couldn't really have the things all other people around me had until I started making my own money.
You don't understand how money can buy you happiness unless you have experienced not having things people take for granted honestly.
Weird that I ended up hating the idea of ever departing with my money.

I won't go out of my way to save money, but I'll more often than not go, "mmmmmmmmmmmm, maybe I shouldn't" for something like, replacing lightbulbs, or food beyond the basics. I also don't buy entertainment.

We weren't poverty line, but we were government aid levels of low income. Humble immigrant house, tons of hand-me-downs. I grew up thinking we were somehow much more poor than we were despite fully cognizant that if we really wanted, I could order not the cheapest things available on a regular basis; I simply chose not too, and the habit stuck.

whatever cuck, enjoy your sloppy seconds and raising other's man child.
Out of context it sounds like you frame step-parenting as inherently shameful or less respectable.

If that wasn't your intent, apologies.

Okay, it's not my biological offspring, but it is an entire human being. Is it that bad to want to care for and teach and watch someone grow regardless of blood relation? Cough* the education industry*

Even if the relation is different, is it shameful to want to be a parental, idol, or mentor figure for a child, even if it isn't yours biologically (including adoption)?

As for marrying the remaining parent, depends on circumstances, but if I form a genuine emotional bond, does it matter I'm not their first, sexually or romantically? What matters is how they act in regards to agreed standards now in our current relationship.
