The dad's the real winner in all this. He's got a family that loves him, respects him, and is genuinely grateful to him for his work. His son shines his shoes, makes his lunch, and meets him after work with an umbrella if it's raining. Both his children involve him in their nonsense and always show that they like having him around.

I'd say having two more mouths to feed is a small price to pay for all that.

I love how the siblings improve the life quality of ... how many people are it now?! Sometimes more, sometimes less; but they always add value to other people's lifes. Intangible value, that is, majorly important and impactful for some of our peeps here ... but not worth any money.

Or is it? Shouldn't it be?

That being said, Ishi-mom criticizing in her kids what she herself has become, always gets me.
They even help with chores of their own accord.
